So this morning after chasing Gavin around the bed to get him dressed, we were rolling around on the bed laughing and then all of the sudden... THUD! Gavin ate it.. bad.. off the side of the bed... now it wouldn't have been so bad if he had just hit the floor but unfortunately in Washington they have these stupid baseboard heating systems instead of central air heating systems... so his right side of his face met up with it on the way down... poor guy screamed his head off and grabbed the side of his face... immediately it swelled up and started to bruise... here's the picture I took minutes after he calmed down... I feel horrible!!! Now I just need to keep watching him to make sure it's not broken! Where's Dr. Todd when you need him! I miss my old job.....

I totally know what you mean! It happens to the best of us though...don't worry...you're not a bad mom! Aren't we so blessed to know Dr. Todd though?
awww poor gavin! I'm a bad mom too.. a few weeks ago the laptop smacked Bruin in the head on its way off the ottoman.. I felt so bad too! What stinks at Gavin's age is you can't just nurse him calm anymore :) Whatd you do?

You are a Great mom..with all the training and experience that you had with Dr. T I am sure you are doing everything that you can! And like Lori said its great that we know him. Sarah has already had to see him!
This is just a taste of what is to come. I wish that my girls were in Bubbles!
Poor kid, but I am kinda giggling cause a brings back a memory. A friend and I go walking and one day her daughter decided to somehow climb out of her 5 point harness straps and fell out of the double jogger. (her three year old son was also in the jogger) To top it off the mom ran over her! Her face looked just as scratched up as Gavins but with some added dirt and rock from the paved road.
April,
I think I have you beat. When Lilly was two I was holding her, and we were in my office, which is basically cement with a thin layer of carpet over it. Well i picked her up and she didn't like that all to much, so she threw herself backwards and right out of my arms. She landed on her head, she started to cry, but then there was no noise coming out.. I thought i had killed her.. She wanted to scream so hard that she wasn't breathing, I gave her to Wendy, sat in a room in a corner and cried thinking I fractured my nieces skull. Now she is a genius!
definitely not the worst mom ever! just have dr todd order a ct..i'm sure he has ways to do that through other states :)
I Remember when Keaton was about 8 months old and fell off the bed the way he landed I thought it broke his neck I was so scared it is good they are so agile. By the way Dr. Todd would love to take care of him if he ever needed too.
