They have a room down beneath where you can watch the fish swim against the currant. Gavin and Emily loved it!
Okay, so here is where the magic happens in the Locks... the fresh water and the salt water meet here... so in order to not mix them they have this huge bridge. But they needed to create a way so that the boats could get through... this is where the Locks come into play! The boats move into this little blocked off area and then the doors close behind them. Then the water emptys out or fills up to the the level of the water they need to enter. then the doors open back up and the boats sail out... so cool to watch!

"Still" wearing sweaters? Did you ever get a break from them? All year long...sweaters..I don't think I could do it.
Looking goo by the way.
I miss Seattle. And if it helps any..we had to pull out the sweaters yesterday as well. You have an adorable family!
Correction, Only in "Western" Washington are you still wearing Sweaters... That stinks. We went to Monterey yesterday and I wore a jacket in the morning... -Phil-
I totally wish we would have taken pics altogether or with Gavin and Emily. Have fun at the BYU game and we would love to do more with y'all!
