So, yes... I'm sure I've now officially shocked my family with this breaking news! But doesn't this look good? :)

STRAWBERRIES
Something weird has happened. Anyone who knows me well knows this little known fact about me... I hate strawberries. I have NEVER liked them. In fact, as a child we had a patch of strawberries that grew in our back yard and I would love to go out and pick them... for everyone else in my family to eat. Now, I like strawberry jam... and of course I eat strawberry candy... but there is something about the actually strawberry I NEVER have liked. So over the years I have continued to try to force myself like them but with no success. Well, this last week I was at the store and saw them on sale and thought "Just because I don't like them doesn't mean Gavin shouldn't have them." So I bought the smallest pack. As I cut them up for him the next morning for breakfast I thought I should try one small piece... just to show Gavin how good they were... and you know what... I actually enjoyed it! I found myself eating more of them.. and then I picked up the huge Costco size pack this weekend. EVERY morning I now enjoy vanilla yogurt, strawberries and granola. (I sometimes eat this for dessert now.. can I call this dessert?)

oh I craved strawberries so much when I was pregnant. I ate them all the time with plain cheerios. The best! Costco size containers at our house last max 3 days before they are all gone. Sometimes only one day! I was like that with mustard and one day I woke up and tried it. It still reminds me of infant poo but the tast is a lot better than it was when I was 10. Same with beets and squash.Love squash now.
I am the same way with tomatoes. Ketchup, spaghetti sauce, even tomato soup for cryin' out loud... but I will not eat a plain tomato. I think they smell scrumptious though. When Dylan was a little tyke, I so wanted him to like tomatoes. I heard that you have to give a kid a food at least 10 times before they'll eat it. So for about 2 weeks, I always gave him a little chunk of tomato with his dinner. It paid off and so far he's the only one of my kids that'll eat 'em.
Yes, I am officially shocked!! Mmmm that picture looks soo yummy!
