Yep... I cut the tip right off that bad boy yesterday... and let me tell you... Gavin handled it like a STUD! He put it in his mouth.. turned it around a few times... looked at it.. then threw it. He went right down for his nap and for bed last night without a problem... who knew it would be that easy! He has LOVED and ADORED those pacifiers more than anything he owns... and they calmed him in seconds when needed.... I figured it would be well worth the fight when I would finally have to break him from it. AT 16 months (yesterday) I figured it was time... what a FABULOUS surprise he gave me.... bring on the potty training :) j/k

Good for you Ape!! That little trick is exactly what my doctors encourage our little patient's mom's to do... cut it off!! They think it's "broken" and won't use it anymore! It might be hard at first, but you'll be grateful you did it when his teeth aren't all jacked up! :) Aw... I miss you guys. I finally updated my blog! You'll have to check it out :)
Stud is right! Way to go Gavin!! I was so sad when I took Ashley's away- it was almost like the last thing that made her seem like a baby and she just wasn't anymore.
