Problem? Maybe...

I don't know if I've mentioned it but I've been training for the Hobble Creek Half Marathon for the last few months... I LOVE to run and I'm one of those odd people that actually crave it so I'm super excited that the race is finally here!! This weekend I fly to Utah to run with some of my girlfriends.... SO, the PROBLEM.. you ask? I looked up the altitude out of curiosity to see how different it would be in Utah... well, I discovered I'm at 30 ft above sea level and I'll be running at 4,500 ft... interesting huh? SO, have any of you ran at that big of a diffference and know what I should expect?

OK, HOPEFULLY this will be different for you...but since we've move to NM, the altitude at which I run at here at our house is 5700 feet..which is about 1000 more than in Utah...I FEEL it MAJORLY! Just harder time breathing a little bit...I feel like I'm totally OUT OF SHAPE. But yeah, for me, BIG difference, unfortunately. Sorry for the BAD news. Hopefully it will be different for you though! (I'll be waiting to hear)...jealous you're running the hobble creek!

lol I am a swimmer. Which I guess takes the same endurance but, I envy your attempt to run in WA. I get warn out fast running unless it is in the rain for some reason! We would run in high school when we were not swimming to train. I am NOT a runner. I wish I were. Maybe I will try it when I feel like the baby can survive alone with david and a baby bottle. LOL Goodluck! I love your blog BTW! Anytime you want to hang out call me! We are camping this weekend at ensign if you want to join us! SHould be fun!
