I LOVE that Gavin LOVES to match his brother every Sunday!

Before and After

I've been wanting to cut Drews hair for a few days now... just debating if it was mean of me to cut off his baby hair... and if it would make him look funny all buzzed. But I had the guts to do it today! His roots have been growing in so blond.. and he had the ugliest comb over since his hair fell out in the front after he was first born. Anyway, here's the before and afters! It's gonna take some getting used to but he looks darling! I love my blond boys! I never would have guess they would be blond!

On Saturday Gavin had been following Devin around outside while I was cleaning inside. They had been wandering in and out throughout the morning when I noticed it was oddly quiet. I yelled out to Devin wondering where Gavin was. (as all moms know, silence isn't a good sign) We searched the house first and I noticed a bulge at the bottom of my bedroom curtains. I grabbed my camera and came back. This is what I found :)

I guess he loves those oreos as much as him mommy!

Craft time ideas

I found a great website with some fun craft ideas a week ago. Gavin and I have created something new almost every morning... he looks forward to our craft time everyday. Unfortunately it's a little too advanced to do by himself, but it's fun to have something we can do together that I actually enjoy doing too :) Here's today's projects: (a duck and an owl)

4th of July weekend

Our 4th of July weekend included lots of rain: (like it does every year here! Lame..)

Finally buying a BBQ so we can grill all summer long! (nothing like BBQ tri tip)

Enjoying a few minutes of much needed relax time!

Then we walked the short walk to the huge downtown park to see the amazing firework show! Even Drew woke up to see it and smiled the whole time! I'm sad I didn't bring my camera cuz it would have made for some great pics.

And this was just too cute... we rented the movie "Up" saturday night and Gavin insisted on sleeping with his ballon he got at Applebees earlier that night. He fell asleep holding the string in his hand :)

Fattening up!

Love that this little guy seems to look bigger every morning! They grow so fast!! He's still such an angel!! I can't get enough off him!

Lovin his play mat now.. he talks gibberish and smiles like crazy at the bird and lady bug above him. It keeps him happy while I get ready everyday... at least until Gavin comes and clobbers him!

Sunday afternoon

I threw a blanket out on the grass today after Gavins nap and we actually got to enjoy a little sun! Yesterday was the first sunny day of the year here.. it was fabulous!! Bring on more sun please!! Anyway, here's a few pics from today... enjoy!

Only in Washington would my son dress himself in a sweatshirt and rain boots in the middle of June!

Bad mommy...

Remember that sun I was referring to that decided to finally show its face saturday... well it kissed Gavin pretty good :) We bought sunblock at costco later that day!

I think Gavin thought the day at the water park was worth it though! (wish I had brought my camara with me.. it really was fabulous)

Brothers

These two boys were "playing" on the couch yesterday morning and I had to snap a picture. We were lucky enough to catch Drew in a partial smile. I can't believe I'm a mother of two boys! It's crazy for me to think sometimes! I hope they grow up to be best friends!

PS. Any advice on how to keep Gavin from smothering him to death... Devin and I are going crazy trying to keep him out of his face all the time/ hurting him?

Strawberries!

Thank you California for sending these gorgeous huge juicy strawberries to costco!! Without them my child wouldn't eat breakfast!

6 weeks

Starting to bald in the front now just like Gavin did! I'm sure it will come back blonde too!

Drew has honestly been the sweetest little angel child. I feel so blessed to have him. He has the sweetest little cry and whimper I've ever heard...he sleeps like a dream. (that's the biggest blessing I think)... and he's just started giving us smiles and coos. Man I could just gobble this little guy up!
