Winter is here!

A snow storm started on Sunday and left us with a fun amount to play with! Gavin and his best friend Natalie spent the morning building a little snowman and throwing snowballs.

This little guy and I joined for a little of it!

Then this amazing man took his son sledding late last night when he got back from work (work clothes and all). He's such a great daddy! (we have a pretty good hill in our backyard)

It's about time already!!

I know you want these... but they're mine :) This last week I was walking in the rain into Nordstroms with Drew in my arms when me foot slightly slipped for the millionth time! I had had it! NO more slipping in rainy weather... it was time for me to get rainboots... finally! I've lived in Seattle for 3 years now and have never owned a single pair of rain boots... crazy huh?! Gavin on the other hand has owned 3 pairs. Why do moms never shop for themselves?!

A little help from any of you?

This is my brother in law Phil (the big guy, not the darling little ones). He's awesome. He's a great hubby to my baby sister Holly, a super dad to two of the cutest little munchkins and an all around fun person to be with. The job which he is currently working in hasn't been ideal for a family life and he is looking into making a change. That's where I thought you all could come in. Do any of you know of a job opportunity that may be a good fit for him? Phil has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science with a minor in Business Management (where he graduated at the top of his class). A job in these fields (sales rep in the health industry, P.R. or Human Resource or anything sports related would be ideal but he is open to exploring other opportunities. He really wants to find a job that he could invest his time and energy into becoming a lifetime career. So friends, if you could help us out with any ideas or opportunities you know of, it'd be greatly appreciated (ask your hubbies too!) Thanks!

Fall leaves = Pure Joy

I LOVE this tree! It's ginormous and looks absolutely GORGEOUS come spring and fall. We enjoy many picnics out there in it's shade. But Devin HATES this tree... and for good reason. Every fall it drops more leaves than you can even imagine. If I have my window open I can actually hear them fall all day long.

Today, Gavin and his best friend found how wonderful those fall leaves can be! It was really pure joy watching them play!

It was a week full of Halloween parties at preschool, playgroup music time, and our ward's Trunk or Treat Halloween party Saturday night.

He's THREE...

Yep, you read that right... I'm a mother of a THREE year old.. Where did the time go? How did it go so fast? I love this boy more than anything in the world... he's quirky, hilarious, strong willed (got that from both of us unfortunately), handsome, and will talk your head off whether you like it or not. I feel so blessed to be his mom. (most days!lol!)

He wanted barbequed hotdogs for dinner and a hotdog birthday cake. (Can you tell what his new love of food is?)

He loved opening all his presents! (Thank you everyone)

But his favorite present wasn't from his parents... it was from Grandma Jolley... A cool guy skate board. He actually slept with it last night! lol!
